KC FALL ACTIVITIES
Fun stuff to do with the little ones....
Pick the perfect pumpkin at the perfect patch. Kansas City’s pumpkin patches are all one-of-a-kind, each with a unique theme and special attractions. Petting zoos, tractor rides, live entertainment and corn mazes are just a few of the fun activities designed with the entire family in mind. Visit the KC Pumpkin Patch Guide for tips and locations for each local patch. And of course, Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead hosts many fall and Halloween-themed events that are fun for the whole family!
The Kansas City Zoo is a great family destination year-round but special events in the Fall make for some exceptional fun. Plan ahead as every Saturday and Sunday in October is Hoots and Howls with spooky, but not very scary, kid-friendly fun! And don’t forget Boo at the Zoo - hosted on Halloween Weekend!!!
Looking for something a little scarier??
Kansas City is home to some of the best haunted houses around! They have been scaring the living daylights out of kids big and small for generations! Nothing boosts your Halloween spirit like a visit to one of these legendary houses. KC also offers different ghost tours - Ghosts and Gangsters and the Wornall House - for all you budding ghostbusters!

Visit historic Weston, where you can enjoy Weston Bend State Park with amazing autumn views!! Continue your exploration of this quaint town by visiting the boutiques and museums, including lunch at O’Malley’s Irish Pub and a visit to the Weston Red Barn Farm, a favorite Fall destination. The Apple Fest and Irish Fest each autumn are two favorite festivals to celebrate the season. And nothing says autumn quite like a nice glass of apple cider or a warm cider donut in Louisburg, KS! You can even observe the process at the Louisburg Cider Mill. The mill’s pumpkin patch, corn maze and the annual Louisburg CiderFest are always visitor favorites!
Make the most of these autumn weekends!! Kansas City’s arts, antiques and dining districts roll out the red carpet all month long, with special hours, sales and events on weekends.
