Clinton State Park is a popular choice when it comes to a fun lake and/or camping weekend. They have 6 cabins that sleep 6 people each, 378 camp sites, a 25 mile hiking & biking trail, fishing ponds, an archery range, an 18 hole disc golf course, a swim beach & a sand volleyball court, a marina & boat ramps, and so much more!
Hillsdale State Park
Hillsdale State Park is conveniently located south of the KC Metro area & it has more than 12,000 acres of park & wildlife area. There are 200 designated camp sites, 51 miles of shoreline and 4,500 acres of water to fish, 7 boat ramps & a marina, 2 beach areas that are open sunrise to sunset, a designated hunting & shooting range area, and hiking trails including 32 miles of designated trails available to horseback riders.
Perry State Park
Perry State Park is another great location for a lake and/or camping weekend! There are more than 300 campsites, 11 campgrounds, 2 boat ramps with a courtesy dock, 4 rental cabins and 10 group shelter homes. This state park also features over 40 miles of trails available for hiking, biking and horseback riding. Perry State Park also offers a swimming beach and a beach house!
Pomona State Park
Pomona State Park is known for its family atmosphere, shady campsites, and scenic beauty & an abundance of wildlife. The Lighthouse Bay Marina offers full services to boaters, fishermen, skiers & campers. They also offer water sports and fishing equipment as well. There is also a swim beach, campgrounds with horseshoe pits, sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, playgrounds, a 9 hole disc golf course & a group shelter house with a full kitchen, large multi-purpose room, restrooms, and a porch area.
