Welcome to
Downtown KC

Downtown Kansas City is split up into 3 major sections (Crossroads, River Market, and the West Bottoms). Each has their own unique shops, restaurants and entertainment. Even though they are in close proximity to each other, they all have something distinctive to set them apart.

Seasonal Events

Farmer's Market

Located in River Market, you can visit the region's largest farmer's market on Saturdays and Sundays, all year round! Rain or shine, they'll be open. It features over 150 vendor stalls with fresh, locally grown fruits, vegetables, bakery items, meats, herbs, plants, and much more!

First Fridays

On the first Friday of every month, thousands of people flock to the historic Crossroads Art District for the city's liveliest and most popular event. Art organizations, galleries, studios, and other local businesses feature regional and national artists! Live entertainment starts at 5 p.m. Enjoy a night out with food, drinks, and the rich artistic history of the Crossroads.

First Fridays (Weekend)

Similar to the First Fridays in the Crossroads, the West Bottoms hosts their own take on First Friday that lasts all weekend long.  This historic area, with towering Mid-20th century buildings, is home to the largest vintage and antique market in the U.S.  Along with these unique shops are food trucks and special happenings that keep the city alive from Friday-Sunday.
