Fun Things To Do In Parkville

Parkville Nature Sanctuary

The Parkville Nature Sanctuary came to life in 1989 after 49 acres and $25,000 of seed money was donated to develop the land at the base of the dam of the city of Parkville as a nature sanctuary. In 1992, a committee was formed to help run and manage the sanctuary, and in 1997, the Missouri Department of Conservation donated 68 acres of land adjacent to sanctuary which added beautiful forestry and more than doubled the area of the sanctuary. The Parkville Nature Sanctuary is truly a sight to be seen.
