Barton) asked his Shawnee interpreter how to say beautiful in his native langue, he replied "Olathe". Seasonal Events

Patriot's Run 

Show your patriotism by signing up for the Patriot's Run on September 11th. This is a family fun event that brings the community together. There are different race options and you can go at your own speed! The day begins at noon and you race for 9 hours! The races include a 5k run and walk, a half and full marathon, an ultra run, or just see how many laps your team can get in the allotted time period!

Annual Fishing Derby

Calling all fishermen! Get your fishing poles out for a morning of family fun fishing! This event draws around 650 youth participants and 975 adult spectators! Registered participants receive fun items including a t-shirt, bag of worms, and a bag of goodies. There are 5 trophies that will be awarded to different age groups and gender categories. 

Olathe Live!

Olathe Live! has been around for 20 years as a way to kick off the summer season! These concerts not only entertain families and the community, but they also support local charities by collecting donations during each show. You can bring your favorite blanket or chair, dogs (on a leash), coolers, and whatever else you want to enjoy the night!
